Get to know Dustin

Recently, I sat down with Wake Forest documentary film Professor, Sandra Dickson, for a wide ranging conversation about sports, filmmaking, and the intersection between the two.

In the interview, I articulate why sports stories matter. In addition, I outline my current projects, I consider the challenges of storytelling, and I reveal what my favorite filmmakers have taught me.

32°

Synopsis:

The things we lose are often replaceable. But what happens when we lose winter? While average temperatures rise in the appalachians, snow is one of many things at stake. Scientists already predict global warming trends that could potentially lead to the collapse of winter tourism economies, specifically in the ski industry. Jobs, livelihoods, and careers, have reached a tipping point. Despite growing concerns from local ski owners, winter outfitters, and mountain communities, there is a climate change proof mountain hiding in plain sight.
