Dustin Foote is a documentary storyteller who pursues ideas that meet at the intersection of sports and society. He has covered topics such as: the effects of climate change on the ski industry, college athlete compensation, stadium voting in a pandemic, and more. He recently received his MFA in documentary filmmaking from Wake Forest. His forthcoming film is titled, “Locker Room Talk.”

Dustin has experience as a video creator and journalist for high profile media companies. He is fluent in all forms of media making including, editorial journalism, documentary filmmaking, and podcasting/radio. He is currently a video producer at Columbia University.

Dustin graduated from Skidmore College in 2017 with Honors in American Studies. He received his MFA from Wake Forest in July 2020.

Climate change is shortening ski season in Appalachia. This short film considers the economic and environmental effects of warming winters on the ski industry in the south.

32º appeared at multiple film festivals including: RiverRun International film festival, The Environmental Film Festival at Yale, Longleaf film festival and Boone film fest.
